In your opinion, where is the best place to live the rest of your life?

I live in Iowa, therefor, i don't get much action. I would loove to live somewhere like California, but I WOULD not wanna live in LA or San Fransisco, or a big big city. I was thinkin a small place, yet exciting. I don't wanna live in a crime inveseted area either. I wanna live in a safe enviroment where i don't have to worry about my kids walkin down the street. And i'm not jus talkin bout california. where do YOU think the best place to live is???? THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR OPINIONS =]
