Brotherhood Of Steel fallout new vegas?

Ok, so I have been doing quests for the Brotherhood Of Steel. The quest was called "Still In The Dark" and it was about 9 parts and it took a while. Afterward, i went back to him and they sed they were going to move out and they thanked me. After that, i approached him and told him i wanted to be part of them. Does this mean i can work with them at Hoover Dam in the end? Like will they try to fight or are they not involved? Im currently working for Caesars Legion but dont like em and would rather go with the Brotherhood.
